It is situated in the picturesque fishing village of Carradale, East Kintyre, with its stunning views across the Kilbrannan Sound towards Arran, and the magnificent sweeping Carradale Bay. You are welcome to come and browse and purchase a range of locally produced art works.
We can be found next to the Blackbird tearoom and Heritage Centre in Carradale, at PA28 6QG.
Anne Borland (Erinvore Ceramics) creates decorative and domestic pottery at her studio in Torrisdale. Wheel-thrown and hand-building techniques are applied to create unique pieces, using a range of clays, including earthenware, stoneware and terracotta. Anne's work is inspired by the coast and rock pools of East Kintyre and by seasonal changes in the colour and form of the plants and landscapes of Argyll.
Mudita Smithson is a self-taught mixed-media artist, working mainly with acrylic, wax and plaster. Lately, she has developed an interest in cyanotype, a primitive photographic process. Mudita's love of nature often appears in her work, inspired by the wonderful sea and landscapes of Kintyre. All of Mudita's work is abstract and each piece is unique.
Sarah Moorcroft (Kintyre Fine Art Photography) specialises in photographs that capture the essence of local landscapes. Her inspiration comes from the colours and textures of the land and seascapes to be found across the magnificent Kintyre peninsula, where she lives. All of Sarah's work is printed on specialist papers, and mounted or framed locally by professional framers.
