Carradale Community Trust Seeks New Tenant for Network Cafe

As many of you may have already have heard, Lesley and Darren Freeman have sadly, after much soul searching, decided to “call it a day” in Dottie’s.

This comes after being the most superb hosts and friends to many who visited the café – serving delicious bakes and meals to all visitors! - they will be sorely missed and we give them our thanks (and that of the community). We send our very best wishes for the future.

The café is well equipped and has been extremely popular and well-attended throughout the summer – this is due, in no small way, to the present tenants and all the hard work they have put in.

We are determined that the café should continue to welcome local folk and holiday makers this coming year as a central part of our community. To that end, we now invite any parties interested in leasing the café for the coming year (and hopefully beyond), to contact us by email with a brief note of their forward plan, their experience in this field, and any further relevant information.

The café has had a considerable makeover this Spring and is ready to go!

Please contact us via email if you have any questions or want to know more.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Applications should be sent to:

Carradale Community Shop & Post Office

Volunteers Required:

The move to the new shop premises has increased the space for customers, products and offers the services of a post office.

We have a great bank of loyal volunteers, without whom our shop could not function. Our loyal customers are coming to use the shop and some are telling us that they would like to see an increase in opening hours.  We are keen to open the shop for longer hours, but cannot do this safely without a healthy bank of volunteers.

Do you have a couple of hours you could offer by volunteering to help with some of the tasks required? Maybe you volunteered previously, and had to give up. If you are able to return we would love to hear from you. If you are unsure of what it entails , please get in touch or speak to someone when you are in. There is no pressure to join the team but you may find it to be something you enjoy. You may wish to be a relief volunteer covering for a regular who can't make it. However, you are only asked to work the hours which suit you.

Please give it some thought and thank you for your continued support. Many hands make light work.
